Your maternity session is designed to celebrate and document the precious new life growing within. My job as your photographer is to help you feel at ease during this very special time in your life, and help you see yourself like the rest of the world sees you: as a beautiful, glowing mother to be. I take a soft, playful, and intimate approach during my maternity sessions. My goal is to get to know you better, make you laugh, and create new memories for your growing family.
When to Schedule:
30 to 32 weeks seems to be the perfect time frame for most moms-to-be. If this is your first pregnancy, I suggest scheduling your session within this time frame. You know your body best, and I want you feeling comfortable during your session.
What to Wear:
Pregnancy is far from comfortable, especially towards the end. Wear what you feel good in. With that said, I advise all of my mamas to show off that belly! Often times, the looser the clothing, the more your belly will disappear and create a heavier look for you. After all, this is a session to document your growing belly, don’t hide it! Pastels are a beautiful choice for your clothing during your maternity session. If you are being photographed with your husband/partner or other children, wear coordinating colors. A Little Bit of Advice:
Before your session, pamper yourself. Treat yourself to a pedicure, a massage, a facial, or even a shopping spree. Do something for you, and only you. And remember, maternity sessions are meant to be fun, happy, and memorable. Don’t stress, and have a great time. Your pregnancy will be over before you know it: embrace your beautiful self!
