I am in love with this gorgeous session! But first let me warn you….I’m about to get mushy. Here I go:
Nicole and I have been best friends since 2nd grade, so for 20 years I have known her beautiful (and goofy) smiling face. I even remember our first “play date”. We pushed our dollies around the block in strollers and pretended to be grown-ups. That was the first of many play dates, which grew into a beautiful life-long friendship. We’ve experienced the highs and lows of childhood together; from that cute boy in 5th grade breaking our hearts, to the silly overnight slumber parties we will always fondly remember, to navigating our way through the halls our first day of high school. I always thought life would stand still and we would by naive teenagers forever.
Now we are real grown-ups with jobs, driver’s licenses, and good looking men (sorry you 5th grade heartbreakers, you never shoot a chance anyway). Enter Ben, Nicole’s amazing and super good looking boyfriend (soon to be fiance’, right?). Ben is one of the nicest, most patience, considerate dudes I have ever met. If you look up ‘Gentleman’ in the dictionary, it has a picture of Ben’s face next to it. Every time I see them together, it just makes sense. He is the yin to her yang.
It’s bittersweet for me to think about it, as I now have a daughter of my own, just a few short years away from being the same age as Nicole and I were when we met in 2nd grade. Now, we get to enter a new chapter of our lives, and I get to watch Ben and Nicole’s love story keep blossoming. I can’t wait to see what life has in store for you two; I know it will be awesome. Now, get married and start having beautiful babies already! xoxo
